New patients
Here is what to expect the first time you come in, and what we need from you.
Your first visit

Call (630) 357-7320 to book. The front desk will ask for your name, date of birth, insurance, and the main reason for your visit.

Arrive 15 minutes early. You will fill out a short health history form.

Dr. Hua talks with you about your pain, your work, and your activity, then checks your posture, movement, and the sore area.

He explains what he thinks is going on and what he suggests. If you agree, treatment can start the same day.
- 5
The first visit takes about an hour. Follow-up visits are usually 20 to 45 minutes.

What to bring
- Your insurance card, front and back
- A photo ID
- A list of your medications
- Any X-rays, MRI reports, or notes from other doctors about the problem
- Loose, comfortable clothing
Insurance questions
- Which insurance do you accept?
- We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois PPO plans and Medicare. Coverage varies by plan; call us to verify your benefits.
- Do you take BCBSIL HMO plans?
- We work with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois PPO plans. If you have a different plan, call us and we will tell you what your options are.
- What does Medicare cover here?
- Medicare Part B covers some chiropractic spinal adjustments. It covers acupuncture only for chronic low back pain under specific rules. Other services may not be covered. We will go over this with you before your visit.
- Can I come in without insurance?
- Yes. Call us and we will tell you the self-pay cost for your first visit before you book.
- Do I need a referral?
- Most patients do not need a referral. Some plans have their own rules, so we check when you call.
